そんな時に、そんな試みがすでに始まっていることを知りました。
外国人旅行者向けの飲食店紹介アプリ「日本美食」です。（ブログ主と何の関係もありません）

きちんと、外国人観光客の「困った」を商機ととらえています。

「ノーショウ（予約したのに来てくれない）」→予約時に前金を払うシステムに

「サイトの利用料やカードの手数料が高い」→0-0.25%

「広告料が高い」

これから拡大が予測される外国人観光客にむけたこのサイトは参考になる点が多いと思います。

日本にもグルメサイトはたくさんあります。

After my article "transaction with your smartphone", I found a website which helps foreign visitors to enjoy Japanese restaurants. 

The website understands the problems for foreign visitors and restaurants in Japan and the solution.

There are 3 "Pain points (=difficulties) " for foreign visitors.
1) It's difficult to find a suitable restaurant. (There are too many restaurants)
2) They cannot book or order in Japanese.
3) many small shops and restaurants accept only cash.

The site also tries to solve the other problems for Japanese restaurants. (→ shows the solutions)

1) No shows (→ guests have to pre-pay the booking fee, so they try to come)

2) The commissions to use websites or credit cards are too expensive (→ the commission is as low as 0-0.25%)

3) Advertisement costs are too expensive (→ free)
